Air conditioning disinfection
Can steam disinfect air conditioners without using chemicals?
Yes, the steam, thanks to a high temperature (up to 180°C under a pressure of 8 bars) and high pressure, kills harmful microorganisms. On the other hand, there will be no persistence over time, unlike a disinfection combining steam and disinfectant product.
The persistence of a product is the length of time that the product will continue to be active. It can last up to several days depending on the products used. This concept is very important in disinfection, it prevents the environment from being conducive to the proliferation of harmful microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, spores, fungi ...). However, if the steam cleaning operation is regular, the steam disinfects the surfaces.
Finally, steam alone needs to be passed over all surfaces very regularly, otherwise the lack of persistence encourages the development of harmful micro-organisms. Whereas with steam combined with a disinfectant product, distance is not important, which is why it can be used for airborne surface disinfection.
Why dry steam air conditioning cleaning and decontamination?
Air conditioning disinfection
The use of dry steam at 175°C combined with a pressure of 8 bars makes it possible to :
- Dissolve fats
- Picking up and removing dirt
- Destroy microorganisms
To ensure that the most resistant strains are destroyed, we use a powerful disinfectant of 100% biological origin in combination with the steam. APABIO - disinfectant based on hydrogen peroxide
APABIO - Ecological disinfectant based on hydrogen peroxide and peracetic acid.
APABIO 100% ECOLOGICAL disinfectant, for air conditioning disinfection: The total disinfection solution, gentle and non-toxic for humans and the environment: in 6 points:
- Broad activity: bactericide, fungicide, virucide and sporicide (according to French and European standards):
Bactericide: EN 1040, EN 13727, EN 14561, EN 13697, NFT72-281
Fungicide: EN 1275, EN 13624, EN 14562, EN 13697, NFT72-281
Sporicide: EN 14347, EN 13704, NF T 72-231, NFT72-281
Virucide: EN 14476.
"Complies with the Standard " of disinfection by air : NF T 72-281 (2010) with our devices (Brumisateur JETBIO 2020)
- Stable for 3 years, physical process without additives.
- Biodegradable at MORE THAN 98%
-Food contact
- Non-toxic and not harmful to humans and the environment
- Contains no formaldehyde, no chlorine, no phenol, no heavy metals
APABIO is abroad-spectrum organic disinfectant suitable for air conditioning disinfection.

Air conditioning disinfection The importance of air conditioning decontamination ?
Air conditioning provides thermal comfort within buildings but it is also the source of new health, environmental and economic problems. The appearance of numerous pathologies and over-consumption of energy can be the consequence of a lack or poor maintenance of air-conditioning systems.
Infectious Risks :
« For the air conditioning, although comfortable, its maintenance must be extremely meticulous and serious, otherwise the frequency of work stoppages for an event of the Buildings Syndrome will increase. »
(Dr. S. Guez - allergy.com/article332.html)
Poor maintenance of an air conditioner promotes the growth of microorganisms and their dispersal in the air.
4 types of pathologies have been identified that can have serious pulmonary consequences:
|
Over-consumption of energy:
A POORLY MAINTAINED AIR CONDITIONER CONSUMES 30% MORE ENERGY
An air-conditioning unit consumes a lot of energy. On average, 5% of the electricity used for air-conditioning in a commercial building is consumed.
Air conditioner manufacturers estimate that 8 grams of dust can lead to an additional 25-30% energy consumption. Dust also promotes premature wear and tear of the air conditioner.
Regular maintenance of air conditioners allows companies to control their energy costs and ensure a longer service life for the equipment. |
Air conditioning disinfection is a public health problem!!!
The technique of deslagging, cleaning and disinfection is perfectly in line with the current policy of sustainable development. This project is supported by the national assembly with a standard and a bill to oblige companies to maintain their air conditioning systems.
